We all hide our hearts behind our scars, the places that others are too afraid to look. We don't scream, we don't cry, victims of our own abuse. We all have our own places our own corners we tuck ourselves into. When will we see, we can't fix our broken hearts. Hiding from others, always running away, terrified to show our broken parts. Silently we say our goodbyes, leaving a shell left behind. When all is said and done, we either find ourselves dead or numb. Who can we be when we're too afraid? Refusing to look at ourselves. We lack the vision to see more, to see what others can help us be. We will never know what's in store.

Why can't you just smarten up, why can't you just be normal? why can't you realize, it's time to change? It feels like I'm drowning, I can barely breath anymore, but I'm just being silly, you can't really drown without water. I don't really understand it anymore, why I can't get this thought out of my head. I need to grow up and move on. You can't drown out of loneliness, I'm overreacting, they just don't have enough time for me, it's not because they don't want me around. An uneasy peace that fills you, ripping the fight out of your bones, leaving you feeling empty. As you struggle to stand, to break free of this paralysis, to move forward and live. Do you refuse to be stopped Does your heart shatter at the thought? Will you cry out? But who will help you now? Never surrender, stand stronger than ever, let your will roar, let it rip through your being. When all is said and done, whether you have lost or you have won, did you fight when all your fight had left you? Rise again, rise until you can no longer, then lie, lie down in the dirt, but never say that you surrendered.

Hopeless hope despite despair

Hope smoldering under the heavy pressure of every pain, blinking back tear after tear, trying to dispel the despair, to hold your head above water, to simply breath within this worlds suffocation. Screaming, so much screaming, wondering when the pain will fade, when it will be easier to live, when there will no longer be a need, to struggle, to fight back tears. Knowing it is all in vein, in an futile attempt to be happy. The hope still burns, the hope given to me when I lost my own. I'm still here despite the hurt, Hoping for my happy ending.

Imperfection reflects infinite potential, each and every moment there is room to improve, that is exactly why each challenge, each and every one will only strengthen you. Struggles with our own self, what we think isn't good enough, mistakes we feel define us. We define ourselves, only we can decide that we are failures. Crying ourselves to sleep, holding up this idea of what we did wrong, never able to focus on what we did right. Simply allowing ourselves to be destroyed, when we deny this infinite potential, we deny the ability to create something much more!

We all wonder if we're good enough, whether we are more selfless or selfish. Looking at ourselves, Why do we experience such disdain, disgust that bubbles up. Able to excuse it in others, but not the same in ourselves. Flood with shame, angry at ourselves, ready to cut away, to think if only. It's so shattering, to just think, I could be, but I'm not, and I won't ever be. Self image like a carnival mirror, horrifyingly distorted beyond measure. I used to wonder, how must longer will this madness last? I lived each day with a bleeding heart, convinced I may never know love. I have, in my actions, hurt others, it seems impossible to live with my sins. Someday, I will overcome this despair I feel, I'm not sure how I have lived with it so long, but I no longer live for the sake of living, I have found my hope and I am not letting go. Ripping me apart, these feelings I never could control, where in all this mess, where is my heart. Feelings I could never stop, bleeding inside me, never filling the holes. When does this all stop? Struggling to breath, to get my heart to beat. I could never understand, why was I so wrong. Here I am living, is that a sin of mine? Screams inside my head, the tears I will never shed.
